Commencement ceremony of International airport Attapeu, Laos

In the morning, May 30, 2015, in Attapeu - Laos, commencement and handover ceremony of Attapeu International Airport organized solemnly with the participation of President of Vietnam - Truong Tan Sang; General Secretary and President of Laos - Sayasone Chummaly and senior delegations of two countries.

Chairman of HAGL, Doan Nguyen Duc said the project has a total investment of over 36 million USD financed by HAGL to Lao government in the form of BT (Build - Transfer). Airport at grade 3C/ICAO with length of 1,850 m, width of 45 m, to meet requirements of landing of ATR 72 aircraft, Fokker or equivalent; equipped with navigation system of VOR/DME, electric light system meets requirements to fly at night. Passenger terminal of 4,300 m2 may simultaneously receive 2 flights, the system of control tower, air traffic, fire ...is modern. The entire process from design, construction, construction materials and equipment ... made by companies of Vietnam.

Apart from the international airport project in Attapeu, currently HAGL invests in an international airport in Nong Khang, Hua Phan province in the northeast of Laos. The project invested 80 million USD and divided into two stages. Stage 1 scheduled for completion in the end of this year and will receive 72 ATR, Fokker 70 ...

Chairman - Doan Nguyen Duc shares more, up to the present time, HAGL has invested in the fields of agriculture, livestock and hydropower in Laos with total capital of up to several billion dollars, of which 70% concentrated in Attapeu province, the projects of rubber planting, oil palm, grass and cowss-breeding. HAGL has developed many social welfare projects for Attapeu province as 1 hospital with 200 beds, over 1,000 houses for workers, farmers, construction of schools and hundreds of kilometers of road, hundreds of kilometers of electricity lines.
